Here is a very nice, rare and unique example of X-Files memorabilia.
This was given to the
cast and crew only
, it wasn't officially licensed merch.
The yellow gift card seen here is original and came tucked into the black case.
In mid-December, 1999, I received this X-Files Sony CD Walkman as the 7th season Cast & Crew Christmas gift. I looked it over and put it in my storage unit, never using it or playing it and that’s where it sat until now. I did play it a few days ago to see if it worked, and it does. It’s basically in
brand new-mint condition
except for the felt ear pads on the earphones headset which to my surprise, fell apart. I checked the internet and these can be replaced as well as an identical set of Sony headphones.
I also noticed that the black printing under the front data window is not entirely legible and there looks to be a line of tiny round minuscule dings on one side of the unit but I think this is how it was manufactured and not due to age or handling.
