VINTAGE Traditional Sleeveless Handwoven Vest from Guatelmala- Multi Color Weave

Incredible piece of workmanship in this vest. No sleeves. Multicolored, handcrafted in Guatemala, this piece is well over 45 years old. My parents brought back many item from that area, frequenting the Lake Atitlan area primarily.   Not sure where this was made.  The ends are all handwoven Pom Pom looking designs. The approximate measurements are: 34” from top of shoulder to where the fringes start. The fridges are each about 6” long. Zipper closure is about 18”. Two of hi Gs to note with this piece: small spot (see foto) on left below waist and the fabric looks like it is fuzzy. I don’t know if it is the actual weaving where the old thread ended and new began or what because I know this wasn’t worn by anyone. Square body and from waist to waist lying flat measures 21” across.
