    Description

    Vintage ceremonial faja/ sash from Chajul, Guatemala. From the mid 20
    th
    century. H
    andwoven on a back strap loom in one red cotton panel, It has ends of elaborately macrame netted fringe.
    Good condition with some stains, some fading, small 1/4” tear at one end.  This piece was used indigenously
    . I have not attempted to clean it. Se
