The Vic Firth Slim Pad provides the feel of a contemporary marching snare drum. The Slim Pad is made of a very thin rubber surface that is mounted on a sturdy wooden base and has a similar feel to the modern kevlar feel of marching snare drums. 14 mil mylar laminates for the Heavy Hitter Slim pad are also available, giving the player maximum articulation and a more accurate feel of a Kevlar-headed drum.
