This is a set of Tibetan Tingsha Prayer Chimes.
These are a ritual / temple instrument from Tibet and surrounding areas in the Himalayas. They are also often used in New Age, Fusion and SoundScape Music. They are bound by a leather cord and are played by holding the cord above the cymbals and lightly to moderately striking the edges of the cymbals together. They have a beautiful and long resonating chime sound.
This style is decorated with the Tibetan Dragon Design on the top side and also has some Tibetan etching on the under side.
Approx. 2.5 inch diameter.
These authentic Tingsha Chimes are handmade by traditional artisans in the Himalaya of Nepal.
