LARGE GUATEMALAN JADEITE JADE MAYAN CARVING
Here is an amazing carving! It's very tall, and consists of 2 Mayan faces w/ a Guacamaya Macaw head above. This was carved from a chunk of our light "Celestial" blue jade. Did you notice the streaks of imperial green? Oh yeah! I like the contrast of the light colored crust with the blue as well. This one is really cool!
This carving was made at our shop in Copan Ruinas, Honduras by a descendant of the Chor'ti Maya.
Jade has been used as a sacred stone for centuries, bringing serenity, wisdom, balance and all things associated with the best of spiritual practices.
