CHARITY DRIVE TO HELP END BREAST CANCER!!!
The Strasburg Borough Police Department is proud to announce its participation in the Pink Patch Project’s 2021 campaign!
Originating with the Los Angeles County Police Chief’s Association in 2013, the Pink Patch Project is an innovative public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations combating this devastating disease.
Today, the Pink Patch Project has expanded to over 600 partner agencies throughout the world, including Police Departments, Sheriff’s Offices, Fire Departments and EMS agencies.
These agencies have partnered together to combat breast cancer by emphasizing the importance of early detection and to raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment.
To this end, during the month of October the Strasburg Borough Police Department will be proudly wearing special commemorative “pink” versions of our shoulder patch on our regular duty uniforms.
However, the SBPD is
offering the commemorative “pink” patch for sale with all proceeds being donated to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition to “Find a cure now, so our daughters don’t have to”.
