This
14 Year Old Patch
is part of the collectible series of patches issued by The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission’s Waterways Conservation Officers Training Classes.
The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, formerly known as The Pennsylvania Fish Commission, is the fish, reptile and waterways regulatory management agency in the State of Pennsylvania.
As each class of Wildlife Conservation Officer Cadets goes through their training they, the class, design and issue a Commemorative Patch marking the classes successful graduation of officers to the field.
The class patches are available in both a 4” and 6” size.
Each class designs something different and the patches are sold to the general public to generate funds for use by the cadet class.
The research we have done regarding these patches and the patches in the series has indicted to us that this patch series was started in 1996 with the 13
th
class patch issued in 1996.
As the agency starts a new class they issued a class patch and continue to do so presently.
This patch, the 6” 2002 Patch, is sold out from the agency and is only available from a dealer or collector.
The patch is guaranteed to be an original and not duplication as it was acquired directly from the agency by one of our family members.
This patch features a scene of a Waterways Conservation Officer Badge centered in the middle of the patch.
Pictured in this beautiful scene is a fish jumping out of the water above the badge and the water splash created by the fish jumping, below the badge.
The silver lettering on the patch reads

, above the patch in a dark blue background and

below the badge in a black background.
This latter lettering represents the 16
th
graduating class of Waterways Conservation Officers.
Also below the badge but in large black lettering, located in the water splash, is the wording “
2002
” representing the year the 16
th
class graduated, 2002.
Surrounding all of this is a well-sewn border of gold.
The patch contains 4 different size / styles of lettering and 6 very vivid different colors. The backing on the patch is different from the older cheesecloth type.
The backing is rubberized to add to the life of the patch and better protect the sewing, which make it up.
The patch measure 6” in diameter and is in mint / excellent condition as can be seen in the photographs.
If you are a collector of patches, you know that the more colors in a patch, the more valuable the patch is.
This patch is no exception and in addition is one that is in great demand as it was the part of the agency’s history and a very collectible commemorative patch.
Not as many of the 6” patches were created as the 4” making for a higher market value of the 6” version of the patches, along with the 6” patches being more difficult to find.

After this the cardboard mailer will either be wrapped using bubble wrap or the cardboard mailer will be placed into a protective bubble wrap mailer and mailed to you.
Which packing method used will depend on the particular item you have won from us.
The shipping and handling charge will include the packing method described in the paragraph above and a shipping label produced using our business PayPal Account.
In doing so, it will include delivery confirmation along with barcode addressing.
When we ship the item you will receive an email notice, through our eBay Account, allowing you to track the shipment as it is delivered to you.
We feel barcode addressing expedites shipping therefore getting the item to you sooner.
