    Description

Denon DCP-70 Portable CD Player with Stereo Analog and S/PDIF Output.  A rare high-end portable CD player I bought new sometime back in the mid '90's, and has a powerful headphone output, along with separate analog line, and digital S/PDIF outputs.
Rarely used, I'd forgotten about it during a move, and discovered it packed in a closet storage box for the last 20 years.
Still looks brand new, and in perfect cosmetic and functional condition.  Powering it up and spinning a few CD tracks through my (old) Sony MDR-V6 headphones, I was surprised at the clarity from the headphone output (flat "Norm" setting), and found it to be not dramatically different sonically to the sound of my reference DAC (connected via S/PDIF coaxial cable).  The headphone output also has two settings for loudness compensation (boosted bass/treble response), controlled by the slide switch on the side.  Also a "hold" button to disable the buttons on the unit if desired during playback. The unit runs on the AC adapter or 4 AA batteries, and the remote on 2 AA's.
Includes DCP-70, original Infrared Remote Control, AC adapter, Manual, Analog Line Cable, and a minijack-to-RCA adapter for digital S/PDIF output connection.  Also, a soft black cloth bag that fits the DCP-70 like a glove (not sure if this bag was originally included or not, but it kept the player completely clean during 20 years of storage).
No longer have the original carton, but will be securely well packed for shipment via USPS.
