    Description

The buyer will receive the four Large (Coronet) cents shown in the above photos.
(The Coronet cent is a type of Large cent.
Its obverse depicts a bust of the goddess Liberty designed in 1816 by Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint Robert Scot, and modified several times by his successor Christian Gobrecht.)
Three of these coins (photos 2 and 3) are of the “Braided Hair” or “Mature Head” variety.
(“Mature” refers to their obverse, which bears Gobrecht’s final modification to Scot’s design.)
Of these three coins, one was minted in 1846, and the other two were minted in 1847.
The fourth coin (photos 4 and 5) is of the “Matron Head” variety.
The date on this coin is indistinct.
However, its reverse depicts the wreath designed by Scot and used from 1816 to 1839.
And its obverse displays the modified bust of Liberty in use from 1835 to 1839.
Therefore, this coin was struck sometime between 1835 and 1839.
