1793 C-3 R-3 PCGS VF 20 Liberty Cap Half Cent Coin 1/2c

Description

PCGS authenticated and graded VF 20.
Rather frosty medium brown blending to light chocolate with a swipe of dark olive brown toning near the rim right of the lower curls. The surfaces are perfectly smooth but slightly dull from a thin layer of natural oxidation, and it appears this half cent has never been brushed. The only mark is a fine, old scratch hidden against the profile from the forelock down to the lips that is obscured by a bit of dirt making the scratch look like microscopic crud tucked up against the profile. Barely visible under strong magnification, clearest at the lips. MDS. The date and legends are complete and clear.
